Major public hospital serving the community in Victoria’s rapidly expanding western region. Artwork for main hospital entry and public corridors, entry foyer of Palliative Care Centre and psychiatric wing.
Challenge
Artwork for the psychiatric wing needed to be extremely safe and more securely mounted to walls. The corridor of the hospital needed carefully linked themes to tie together the space while delineating different hospital ward areas.
Solution
Several series of works were selected to fill the vast length of the hospital’s main corridor. The hospital is a major focal point of the community, and is located nearby to the famous Werribee Zoo. Art Strategies Australia sourced a beautiful series of wild animal photos from the zoo, and custom printed these images for the spaces. Other works included large-scale flower series’ and original oil paintings of the local landscape.

Project
Artwork for entire aged care facility. Almost 200 individual artworks were produced, in many themed series. Art Strategies Australia was commissioned to undertake this project at the building design stage.
Challenge
Mercy Place East Melbourne was to be the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the organisation’s aged care facilities, and as such had to project a high quality image and friendly and welcoming environment to prospective residents and their families. The chosen artwork had to strongly reflect this.
Solution
Every floor and area was carefully themed to provide beautiful and calming imagery, chosen for each individual wall. Largescale dramatic photographic murals were featured throughout the building. Many of the artwork series also had a wayfinding aspect incorporated for elderly residents’ benefit.

Challenge
Furnish new display village requiring a large number of artworks.
Solution
Art Strategies Australia was able to work remotely with supplied
design drawings and colour palettes to provide a stylish and cost
effective artwork solution for multiple display homes.

Mercy Hospital for Women, Melbourne.
Project
Corporate History Wall
Challenge
The Sisters of Mercy order are both the founders and owners
of the hospital, with a long and proud history of service to the
community. With a new hospital building completed, and staff
and patients transferred from the original site in East Melbourne
to Heidelberg, it was vital to retain a sense of the history and
milestones, and celebrate the many people involved with the

innovative solution incorporating old and new photographs,
graphics and moving imagery to produce an engaging History
Wall. Once installed, positive feedback from staff was immediate,
with many saying they were moved to tears at seeing some of
their old colleagues and special memories featured in the display.

Project
Artwork for display suites in 92 storey, $500 Million
apartment tower.
Challenge
At the time of its construction, Eureka Tower was not only the
tallest residential tower in the world, but also Melbourne's most
expensive real estate, with the penthouse 'shells' selling for
upwards of $7 Million. As such the positioning and marketing of
Eureka Tower as a 'luxury brand' was paramount.
Solution
Art Strategies Australia was chosen to supply artwork for several
display suites, selecting original paintings whose dramatic colours
and scale set off the highly priced and unique apartments to
perfection.

Heidelberg, Melbourne.
Project
One of Victoria's major public hospitals, providing public and
private care for women and babies. Artwork for entire hospital
including foyers, obstetrics, neonatal and recovery wards.
Challenge
Limited budget and limitations due to space, as the artwork
addition was decided after construction completed and the
hospital was fully operational.
Solution
The entire hospital was furnished with high quality artwork,
a combination of original works, large photographic murals
and prints, enhancing the ambience and visual appeal of the
hospital considerably.

Project
Restoration of historic church altarpiece.
Challenge
Repair of a valuable artwork, which had been affected by dirt and
candle smoke over many years and was built into a wall using
unknown methods.
Solution
Art Strategies Australia project managed the entire operation
to remove and transport the delicate altarpiece to conservation
experts, and after restoration, arrange its successful reinstallation
into the church.
